The analysts are falling all over themselves trying to discern Trump’s tariff policy. The reason they’re having such a hard time is because there is no policy. It’s about the sick whims of a deeply troubled, insecure and ignorant man – and nothing more. The cruelty is what gets him off, as it always has.
Look, it’s really simple: Can we make a profit from it? If so, let’s take it over and make a bundle. No profit to be had? Then kill it. It’s as simple as ABC and It makes perfect sense – as long as you have no sense of conscience, integrity or humanity. If the term “hostile takeover” means anything to you, you should be on familiar ground.
The deployment of multiple B2s plus three C-17 cargo planes and ten aerial refueling tankers to Diego Garcia is highly unusual. The aerial deployment coordinates with US naval operations in the area over the last few days; both are major operations that may indicate all-out war in the Middle East may be at hand.
We are no longer the America we thought we knew. We are becoming something else, and what we’ll end up being is anyone’s guess. We take a stab at it, though, with deep analysis, the the different players and their motivations, as well as several possible scenarios.
Face it: Trump has already achieved absolute power. It’s all over but for the shouting. He will not take no for an answer; he will do exactly what he wants regardless of what anybody says or does. With the military backing him up, the courts won’t stop him. Congress won’t stop him. People in the streets won’t even stop him.
Now that a mix of cruelty, division, hatred, fear and lies has proven to be a successful political strategy, can the genie ever be put back in the bottle? Americans’ seemingly increasing appetite for violent entertainment fare does not bode well.
It’s on. This is a coup – a full-blown takeover of the US government by a fascist dictator. It’s being engineered by the richest man in the world, who now has access to the US treasury and the personal records of every American. Drastic measures are called for now, if it’s not already too late.
Note to media outlets: This is not a fucking football game. So stop treating it like it is. By reporting Trump’s actions as moves in some political game, you are doing America a grave disservice. Face it: This is not politics. It’s war. And America is losing. In fact, the war may well already be lost.
Trump may have already sown the seeds for his own downfall. At the end of this piece, we’ll get to the one question that could end his presidency well before the end of his four-year term. But lest you get your hopes up, let me tell you in advance that this is not necessarily good news.
